Project PartnersThe Carbon TrustThe Midas team works in partnership with the Carbon Trust to ensue that you receive the right service to mitigate any energy related issues. The government funded Carbon Trust helps business and the public sector cut carbon emissions, and supports the development of low carbon technologies. It does this by providing free energy reviews and materials of varying level to any organisation with an annual energy bill in excess of £50,000. Envirowise The Midas team also works in partnership with Envirowise to ensue that you receive the right service to mitigate any waste related issues. The Government funded Envirowise offers UK businesses free, independent, confidential advice and support on practical ways to increase profits, minimise waste and reduce environmental impact. It does this by providing free waste or water minimisation reviews and materials to any business. TNEI Services Ltd TNEI Services Ltd is a regionally based sustainable energy consultancy delivering energy and carbon management projects through the public and private sector, including the Midas Programme. With offices around the UK TNEI have vast expertise in energy management, renewable energy feasibility and grid analysis. Recent developments have seen TNEI become one of the market leaders for delivering turnkey industrial wind developments. One North East One North East is the Regional Development Agency (RDA) covering the North East region of England, comprising Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Tees Valley. There objective is to develop and implement agendas for the region's economic and business development and regeneration. Northeast Industrial Symbiosis Programme Industrial Symbiosis brings together companies from all business sectors with the aim of improving cross industry resource efficiency by exchanging materials, energy and water and sharing assets, logistics and expertise. Manufacturing Advisory Service North East The Manufacturing Advisory Service in the North acts as a focal point for manufacturers and a single point of contact for queries and advice. The Centre is staffed by manufacturing specialists who offer free consultancy for one day and 50% funding for longer-term projects. North East Productivity Alliance The North East Productivity Alliance (NEPA) was established in 2001 to take forward the North East Region's manufacturing strategy, in particular through improving productivity and competitiveness. NEPA offers a pragmatic response to the Government's call for coherent and effective support for UK manufacturing industry, with a particular interest in helping to close the productivity gap between the UK and its main competitors. Business Link Business Link provides the information, advice and support you need to start, maintain and grow a business. It provides information and advice to help customers make the most of their opportunities. Rather than providing all the advice and help itself, it fast-tracks customers to the expert help they need. There is a local Business Link for each North East county. Energy Savings Trust The EST is a government funded not for profit organisation that encourages energy efficiency and the integration of renewable energy sources into the economic fabric of our society. To achieve this we promote the use of cleaner fuels for transport and better insulation and heating efficiency for buildings and homes and champion small-scale renewable energy, such as solar and wind power. Waste and Resources Action Programme WRAP is a government funded programme that aims to accelerate resource efficiency by creating efficient markets for recycled materials and products, while removing barriers to waste minimisation, re-use and recycling. Environment Agency The Environment Agency is the leading public body for protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales. It's our job to make sure that air, land and water are looked after by everyone in today's society. Waste to Resources Waste to Resources is the sustainable resource programme for North East England and principal funder of the Midas Programme. This funding is provided in conjunction with the DEFRA Business Resource Efficiency and Waste Programme (BREW). |
